Signing of the Transparency Agreement at the 4th SPCAL Congress
At the 4th SPCAL Congress, the Transparency Agreement on animal research in Portugal was signed, a joint initiative of the EARA-European Animal Research Association and SPCAL. It aims to bring together all Portuguese Higher Education and Research Institutions using laboratory animals. The aim of the Transparency Agreement, signed by the 16 main Portuguese research institutions is to improve communication with the general public about the use of laboratory animals for scientific purposes, making it more transparent and scientifically assertive.

NOVA Medical School | Faculty of Medical Sciences is pleased to announce that registrations for the Postgraduate Course on Animal Experimentation (Practical) - 6th Edition are open. The practical course corresponds to the required practical training to apply for DGAV authorisation to perform animal experiments (former FELASA B category, now 2010/63/EU Directive functions A and D) and grants 3 ECTS. The course will be held on 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th and 20th of July 2018. Registrations open until May 24th.
